I liked that part on season 1 when the guy does chest compressions and cracks her sternum.
I watched the first season of this a while back and it was pretty decent. Maybe 6.5/10.
Wasn't super excited to watch the second season which tells a completely different story (but has the same detective) but it had stellar reviews so I watched it over the weekend.
Very very good. Gets going from the first episode and doesn't really slow down. Not as good as shows like The Fall or The Killing but it's pretty close.
I was surprised to seem something this good from USA.
Solid 8/10. Just eight 45 minute episodes.
I'd recommend maybe just skipping the first season and starting with Season 2.

First season was better.
Really? I liked the 2nd way more. Not to say that the first was bad.
I liked both seasons tbh, but I liked the ending of season 1 better than season 2.
Oh, and....
Bend over, I'll ing show you a Sinner.
In my opinion, it was.
The first season had a better story and I thought the subject matter was way more intriguing.
Season 2 was more straight forward and had no mistery. You knew the deal halfway through as opposed to the first one which kept you guessing until the last episode.
I will say (without spoiling) that I thought the extra reveal in the last episode was unnecessary and didn't make much sense. The one about the cop's dad.
Agreed. The Season 1 finale, when you learn that the victim's dad was the one who drugged her and buried her sister, and was also being blackmailed by the drug dealer, that was good stuff and I didn't see that coming at all.
At least they ditched his obsession with being dominated by fat chicks, that crap stood out like a sore thumb in the first season
I liked the second season better also.
I thought they tried too hard in season 1 to cast Bill Pullman's character as a tortured masochist. The "protagonist, but with demons" trope is getting tired.
Just watched the S3 premier. So far, so good.
Meh, episode 2 wasn't that great. The whole thrill-seeker concept that they're going with isn't really intriguing. SpursforSix are you watching S3?
Not yet. I knew it was coming but didn't realize it was out. Glad you mentioned it. Will probably start tonight.
I'm 3 episodes in to Season 3. Starting to lose interest already. It's pretty average. I'm guessing they have some twist in store so I may give it one or two more episodes.
It’s the weakest of the 3 seasons but I’ve stuck with it. The finale is tonight.
Season 4 is good so far
I gave up on it. How did Season 3 turn out?
Season 2 with the occult and psychological nietzche type was cool. Season 3 was a struggle to get thru, pretty boring. Bomer is like a more sterile superman actor guy.
I'll wait for season 4 to end and online consensus to keep going
season 3 was not good. Thankfully each season is a new story.
