the compe ion isn't exactly stiff, but yeah he has had stretches of cheating on d... he doesn't bite on pump fakes and doesn't go for needless blocks, fouling in the process. He reads the play really well, which consistently forces the opposition to attempt another pass, which is what you want when recovering. He's never going to be a dinamic shot blocker, that's for sure though..

His anticipation + BBIQ actually makes him an underrated shot blocker too, like how he got Favors the other night. He’s never going to be an elite defender, but anybody thinking he will get torched every night are in for a surprise.
I’m actually disappointed more in his offense and decision making. And that’s mostly just because he’s a rookie who still has to adjust to NBA speed. There’s plenty of times where his brilliance shines through, but too often he’s going in with no real plan, getting himself trapped, or he’s forcing a pass that might work in Euroleague but gets stolen pretty easily in the NBA. Once he figures that out, he’ll be a superstar in this league.

Personally disagree. His best position would probably be a shooting center. But he was too soft to agree to offer some interior defense or be an adequate defensive rebounder. Imo he’d basically be like Brook Lopez. He’d occasionally score 25+, and the rest of the time be a spot-up jump shooter, standing around watching everyone else play, while doing nothing else.
Will be interesting to see how you all build around him. Think you need to ship out most of the current roster. I don’t think DSJ doesn’t look like a keeper to me. Another inefficient chucker tbh. Barnes could add some value on a better deal I suppose

He’s not as as good as Manu, but he’s got that intangibles make a play style game.
If Doncic loses the baby fat, he can end up having a better career than Manu if hes luck enough to find himself a 2md wheel for a great team... Hes got all the tools offensivley. Just a tad bit slow defensisvely.
