Yes, I've been to NOLA on Black Friday 2009 and loved it... green and pink colors on the french quarter on a late cloudy afternoon, jambalaya, seafood gumbo, cajun fried oysters with cajun hot sauce and tail sauce, walking around the french quarter, "Big Ass Beers to Go" on Bourbon Street, even the older black men playing jazz music on the streets for tips.

The only thing I disliked was the "Boudin". Yuck. It tasted like poop mixed with vomit.

My fav current author is James Lee Burke, who writes about a Louisiana detective. Then there's the music, so many greats with ties to Louisiana....TONS!
