Steelers are among the best teams in football, question is can they beat the Saints and Patriots who are both remaining on the schedule? Saints in New Orleans. That could determine their long term fate this year.

That's a horrid challenge by Rivera. Yes, it's obvious he's going to win it, but why waste a challenge on 2nd & Inches that could really come back to haunt you if you lose the 2nd challenge? DUMBASS.

2nd and Inches is BETTER than 1st down in most cases in football because you have 2 throwaway plays and can easily pick it up on 4th if necessary.

just keep dumping it off to team leader CMC and let him do all the work

until there's a false start or a hold and suddenly you just screwed yourself. first down is always better

he is a low iq coach below league average for sure. used to be able to put out a top 10 defense at least

False start/hold is just as bad on 1st down... 1st and 20 is hard to come back from if your offense relies on the ability to run the ball... we've seen it with Dallas, I saw a stat on the MNF game that they've had to punt (or kick the FG) on 36 straight 1st and 20s, all with Dak Prescott at the helm.

that first play just shows such a lack of awareness though... steelers blitz 2 guys from cam's left, and as a result olsen was WIDE open up the seam on that side. instead he looks right and throws a contested pass for a 2 yard gain

Their offensive line agrees 100% with that. They were done with him and his diva act last year.

Note to DBs across the league... the NFL doesn't call OPI on 1 on 1 catch plays. Especially not when the WR is a superstar. It is what it is.

newton oblivious to the pressure, hangs on too long but team leader CMC dives (unlike Cam in the superbowl) on the loose ball

Big Ben is the most oblivious guy in the league when it comes to pressure, but that also allows him to make some big plays

Steelers had a bad first 4 games, but they're a juggernaut. No shame in losing to KC. Browns tie was bad. They split with the Ravens which is expected every year. They're fine as long as they can get over the Belichick hump in December at home.
