Westbrook literally had to take a night off of stat padding just to make it into the playoffs.

There's a story about Magic stat padding his assists with help of teammates cos he was angry that John Stockton was a better passer. And it's not even hearsay; it was told by Laker teammates on one of their production clips.

He was soft in the paint; but I think to say he was stat padding (above the norm) isn't true. And in 08 he was truly deserving of the MVP for what he did on both sides of the ball while leading a dominant team. Unfortunately, Stern needed to hand out a lifetime achievement award to Kobe.

Magic's assists were always inflated anyway.
