I would disagree about Libya. You might want to research that. Libya under gadaffi had extensive social services, free college education, etc. Now it's just a ed up mess.
And Iraq under Hussein was at least a foil to Iran. Now that they are unopposed they are gradually increasing their influence across the region.
If only we had a ruthless secular dictator to support in Iran....
