At home against TB and on the road against the weakest of the NFC East teams is a generous schedule that the league gave them. But a mediocre team like the Cowboys could lose them both.

This Nick Mullens is one of the best QBs in the league. I'd rank him top 15, I know the Niners have to pick Garoppolo because of the contract, but Mullens definitely has earned a starting job next year with another team. What an unlikely star.

They have a starting back-up QB along with a solid receivers core and the best defense in the league. Calling them mediocre is misleading if not silly.

I'd prefer non-division foes over division foes who play for pride if nothing else; but at sucky Detroit and at home against Chicago possibly playing for nothing is very doable.

I'm convinced Belichick got bored at some point in the last 2-3 and decided that he wanted to make it harder on himself by using as many white skill position players as possible.

If they somehow win a superbowl with this team I see him upping the ante by trying to win with white corners.

No, that wasn't me.

I'd take Chandler Jones straight up (but it's not as much of a difference as you're pretending it is), but I'd much rather have Flowers @ his current $2mm cap hit vs. Chandler Jones at his current $15.5mm cap hit.

Chandler Jones is a stat padder on a ty team, he isn't a Khalil Mack-level stud pass rusher who teams plan their entire offense around.
