Trying to win and make the playoffs is putting themselves above the team? Yeah, because I am sure everyone on that team wants to keep losing. Some people
Good point but we all know they can't do it alone. Personally, I think it's more important for the younger guys on the team to cultivate a winning culture. Look where has tanking lead Suns, Nets, kings and even 76ers to.

It's really not that ing hard to grasp.
Lottery pick >>> getting bukkaked in the first round so Poop can avoid sitting in the draft lottery chair
Losing games on purpose is a pussy move. No coach with any balls is going to coach to lose and no player with any balls is going to play to lose. Name me one great coach that has tanked after winning multiple championships? Can you imagine Phil Jackson tanking? that. Tanking is stupid and overrated. You try and win now. You don't tank with a roster like the Spurs have. GTFOH
Are you paid to be a stupid on here? Man, you're good at it, that's for sure.
A lot of parity in the west right now. No team outside of Golden State has really pulled away from the group and even they aren't playing as well as they could because of internal drama, injuries, exhaustion? Only team really out of it right now is Phoenix. 2-8 are really up in the air...
One thing a lot of peeps have overlooked is that our record against the West is 13-10. That's better than MOST of the teams ahead of us in the standings. We'll keep climbing as long as we're taking care of WC business.
Take Pop's wrinkly old balls off your chin before you come at me, got.
No, I'm gonna start ing with you again, maybe put another dimple in that chin of yours.
Do you think tanking for the lottery is going to make players want to play more with the spurs? They have the players they have due to the environment cultivated over time with hall of famers setting the examples.
You start tanking and moral goes down the drain, players lose motivation and compe iveness.
It's like you can't comprehend the parallels of work environments an see people not caring to win or succeed and seeing how that effects people as a whole at a job.
Personalities become more selfish, drama, etc.
I hope the team doesn't start tanking ever.
This is definitely a strange season. If I'd known for certain at the season's start that after 29 games the Spurs would be ahead of the Rockets, Jazz, Pelicans, and Timberwolves, I would have thought: all right, that's good news. If I'd known that after 29 games, the Spurs would be 4.5 games out of first place... same thing. The parity in the West is ridiculous so far, and for me it's been kind of amazing to watch.
if there was a year to struggle, this is the year. with our struggles we are still nowhere near out of it. hopefully the cohesion continues and the defense continues to improve.
Right back in the ter with that performance. Worst loss of the season.
This is who we always were
Yes, we're back to the land of basketball insanity.
Nothing like a loss to a ty team to derail the hype train and convert it in to a tank
I missed those days spurs can easily beat ty teams in the regular season..
Lmao Spurs just came across opponents at the right time. Let’s hope the losses keep piling cause this team is still a lottery team.
