(CNN)Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas directed the Federal Emergency Management Agency to aid and support efforts "to safely receive, shelter, and transfer unaccompanied children" crossing the country's southern border in a Saturday statement.

You missed what he said after "the border is closed, "... the whole sentence was "the border is closed, unless you're willing to vote Democrat".
It was clear from the beginning he wasn't open borders. just because you were dumb enough to buy into the right wing propaganda that he was going to be allowing 100 million Mexicans in day one you don't get to gloat now.
