There have been at least 2 threads on the subject. There isn't much story being told, other than he isn't giving up and is keeping in shape.

What do you think based on his G-league numbers?
Just saw his name at the bottom of the Austin roster; news to me. What's the story? Has anyone seen the guy and can he still play?

There’s already been 2 threads on it, dude looks like he’s in really good shape
To old, I'd rather give time to Metu
Short version of the story on DB is this in a nut s ..
Left SA for green pastures via FA, floated between 2 teams after leaving, realized grass wasnt greener on the other side. Looked for more cash to a gig over seas for 1 yr, for money.. Then at the end of that season realized over seas life was not for him, so he wanted to make a come back to the NBA. Got no training camp invites he wanted, so is trying to make it back on a club via GL.
While i liked him when he was with the SPURS he realized grass is not always greener on the other side.. " Heard through grape vine, off the court issues ( financial ) when he was with the SPURS was a big issue on why he left.
How true any of this is who knows lol....
That is the short & ugly truth.
We need 3 and D. While he can defend, he doesn’t attempt 3’s nor make them, and too slow to closeouts. Nope
Blair, poor pick and roll defender. Ship had sail for him.
Thanks for the info. Odds are sorely against him getting anything more than a 10 day from soemone, IMO.
There's no real room for PFs in the league anymore.
It wouldn't surprise me that Blair hated being benched his last two years, especially if his goal was to stack them stacks. He signed with Dallas to prove himself, and while he had a decent year, he also solidified his rep as a bit player. Got a decent contract with the Wizards, but he was ultimately unable to break through a rotation that only had three good or decent centers. Was then traded to a Suns team that had its own share of bigs, so he got released.
I wouldn't put it as a "Grass is greener" mentality though. The Spurs had clearly moved on from him before he left. They entertained trading him in 2013 but for some reason held off despite the rumors putting the bidding at a late first or early second. May have been best for everyone had they been able to get something going, as the Spurs did not actually have a draft pick that year due to the Jefferson trade.
Owed his entire career on Manu's PnR.
my blair sources tell me the spurs will call him up either before the all star break or weeks/week before the season ends.............ive been grinning ever since i heard the news
he was a successful 2nd round pick tbh
Did they tell you why he hasn't played a game in three weeks?
he's already a 3rd stringer in the G-League
Thanks for taking the time; I did look for previous posts. Father time marches on for all of us I guess.
Thanks for kicking Splitter and getting your dumb ass ejected, Blair!
Turd towers need to stay dead.
Blair consulted a Curandero on the south side to get back in the NBA. ......................It has become quite the project..........
I’ll never forget how sour he was after he left the Spurs.
Lol circling the game on his calendar. The reality is he was never that good to begin with and his career predictably went nowhere.
Right? What a bum.
Is Blair the last former Spur to get boo’d in SA before #2 last week?
