“After the Pulse nightclub and the Fort Lauderdale airport shooting, we know we can be susceptible to terrorist attacks,” Florida state Rep. Mike Hill, a Republican, told Fox News regarding his legislation to create such a terrorist registry. “A proposal like this may draw a little opposition, but this should be something that unites us.”
While the worst terrorists may be imprisoned for life, most terror-related convicts serve an average sentence of 13 years, usually in high-security federal prisons in Florence, Colo.; Terre Haute, Ind.; and Marion, Ill., The Associated Press reported.
Since 9/11, the federal government prosecuted about 400 jihadists. At least 61 individuals with terrorism-related convictions will be released from prison between 2018 and 2024, according to a December report, “When Terrorists Come Home: The Need for Rehabilitating and Reintegrating America’s Convicted Jihadists,” sponsored by the Counter Extremism Project, an international policy organization formed to combat extremist ideologies.
The report cited U.S. Sentencing Commission numbers showing the recidivism rate for federal prisoners is 44.7 percent after five years, while the rate for state prisoners is 76.6 percent. In 2010, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence estimated about 20 percent of former Guantanamo Bay detainees returned to the battlefield.

ing need to start doing some nat'l televised executions of people like john walker lindh and all other terrorists here in the states and in our prisons. giving them all a 2nd chance. same with pedos; time to start weeding them all out of our society.
Couple factors adding to what Lindh Jr. became.
1. His married Dad came out as a flamer sometime during/after they had 3 kids. Bio mom chose to stay with flamer.
1a. This same putz is a liarwyer for a huge Gay Area electric company. In case you didn't already know it from the news, many of the major Calif fires being caused by slackery/greed from the power companies (failure to trim brush from trees near power lines, faulty equipment etc). It speaks volumes of his character that he is someone would actually try to defend them and burn the ratepayers even more then they already do without fires. Not sure if he also defends them against the murder charges some of the power companies are facing. Don't give me the "it's just his job" bull . Someone who passed the bar can work all kinds of places.
I'm just saying he must have had a super f'd up upbringing. Not justifying his joining the Taliban.

In 2017, the National Counterterrorism Center, according to do ents obtained by Foreign Policy, underscored that Lindh continued to "advocate for global jihad and write and translate violent extremist texts." Here's where the laws are totally messed up. If this guy is still taling violence he stays in prison.
