If I am Nola, I take the Knicks deal. Best opportunity to get a marquee player and a lottery pick. Other than Kuzma, the Lakers available have not shown much improvement.
no way you give up tatum if he wont re-sign
he is by far the best young player in any of thhese supposed talks.
I take him over Porzy, Ingram, Lozo, kuzma ....
and not sure i would take him over zion yet waiting to see Zion perform vs UVA once more UNC twice, ACC and NCAA Tourney before I go all ga-ga over him like everyone else.
Only person of past two drafts inluding Ja morant? im for sure taking over tatum maybe doncic ...

mehh NBA doesn't want that fight with Lebron and his agent.
Rich Paul and other can play the race card and say when the Falk's, Pelinkas etc weere making power moves no one had issues.
if Nola and NBA wanna fight that then it could get ugly.
I dont think Davis gets moved for the record.
or if he does Lakers will have to pay even more than what has been reported.
So no one then
the great thon maker tbh
middleton is good, but beyond that you're looking at brogdon, bledsoe and picks
Middleton alone is better than the Lakers' garbage.
So NOLA should take him over ball BI Kuz and Zubac huh ?
thinking ball/zubac move the needle at all
ingram is a mediocre player and kuz is a nice bench scorer. middleton is much better than that.
Perhaps basketball wise. But not when he can walk free and clear as an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.
Middleton and Brogdon are both easily better than any of the Lakers pieces(probably not even close) as basketball players, but neither is an attractive trade asset..
Middleton is already in his prime and his contract expires this season..he's nice to have right now(despite having a down year), but he won't be attractive once he's overpaid..
Brogdon is a nice piece, but he's already 26 years old, he doesn't have much room to grow..
Davis to the Lakers seems inevitable..also, as midnightpulp and I discussed during the summer, if Durant remains with GS, Adam Silver will probably change the playoff format next season to attempt a Lakers-Warriors Finals..
I don't really buy the hype, though..they would need a 3rd piece to make this into a challenger..specifically, taking Klay away from the Warriors would probably be the required move to really contend IMO..
Great move by LeBron and Rich Paul, though..well played, putting the pressure on a bad GM at a crucial point of the season..
I don’t see a path to the Lakers because they don’t have the best offer. I mean it’s clear teams don’t want to trade with the Lakers so unless they can pay way more (they can’t) then how does it get done?
Also the argument of having AD around too long is funny. Like with AD they are not close up a playoff team. What’s he going to do? Tank them further with his at ude?? He’s not a malcontent and doesn’t seem like he would make Kawhi waves. He’s not an idiot nor are his advisors; they want him to look clean here.
But the more the destination team gives up, the worse they are and the less attractive a destination they are.
Unfortunately, sabotaging the Pelicans works to AD's advantage. He wants the Lakers to give up as little as possible.
So you think the Celtics aren't going to swoop in and top LA's offer?
Can't see stubborn and egotistical Ainge doing it for a rental IMO..
Wouldn't be surprised if a random team took a shot, though..
Still, I find it hard to believe that LeBron and Rich Paul don't have a plan that they're confident in..
I think most teams could put together a better package than the Lakers can offer.
Plenty of bad or middling teams would be willing to take a shot imo. If Boston can get him this season I think they try, that's two playoff runs with him to convince him to sign there.
You really think he'd be a rental on a le contending Celtics team? LeBron will be 36 by the time the 2020-21 playoffs roll around so it's hard to see LA as desirable a destination in summer 2020 as it is right now with a 34 year old LeBron still in the tail end of his prime but still arguably the greatest player in the league.
I agree..as a destination for Davis, there's nothing appealing about the Lakers on paper(declining LeBron, no other players, etc)..for the Pelicans, there's nothing appealing to acquire from the Lakers(no star potential players, draft picks won't be high enough)
However, I find it hard to believe that this isn't all planned by LeBron and from what we know about him, there's always serious depth in his plans..
If Boston gets him that donut and snow guzzling city gets the sports world's first ever triple crown... consecutive les in all 3 sports, disgusting.
