The Solomon contract though, the Lakers need to find a way to drop that excess trans fat. AD and just Lebron is going to be another punt. They would need all the help they can get. $13 million is about half of the portion of their available cap.

    You’re looking at

    Lebron
    AD
    Solomon Hill
    Svi Mikhailuk
    Wagner

and roughly $26 mil? left for 10 or so players. Yeah, no.
    This ...

There's some interesting power dynamics going on that have me very interested. First Magic was hired and came out publicly that he was going to attract stars and sign stars and have LA in the limelight again (winning championships). At the time he had Zero stars so the common fan was doubting him while those in the league were watching very closely. Then they got Lebron and that was a game changer. It brought a real player to LA and the fear that everybody else will flock to LA became a real one.

Luckily Magic got arrogant and refused to trade for Paul George and didn't send out the red carpet for him in the offseason to recruit him. I have no idea why he didn't make PG13 feel like a superstar and the most important person in the world but he didn't and that might screw him

Kawhi tried to pull a power move and force his way to the Lakers but he was dealing with The Godfather and Kawhis new daddy sent his ass out of the country. Now AD, who is repped by someone a of a lot more competent than Kawhis uncle, is pulling the same stunt. The Pelicans really should take this deal that the Lakers are offering (if the draft picks are unprotected) but they are giving the middle finger to LA bc Magic and Lebron are arrogant POS that are trying to take power away from even more arrogant POS's. I love the drama

The real question is what GM Lebron wants done... Having Davis around would kinda get him out of his retirement tour mode, tbh, which I'm not sold that's what he really wants to do.

agree with some of your points
you are righ though about Kawhi ... Deeps was trying to argue that Lakers could get Kawhi ... and missed, but no they could not.
Magic thought PG was coming in FA but PG decided to stay in OKC a goos gamble that they lost.

So i dont regret not trading and if Pelicans trying to be crazy I walk away.

Lebron and davis with hill no picks every otehr year for the next 8 years and no cap space to add much talent is a deal breaker, even for Davis.

Odom is way better than anyone New Orleans would be getting in that deal.
You farmers overrate Odumb tbh. This dude balls out vs the Matrix and the Phoenix Suns, no doubt. But against every other team, inconsistency was his trademark. He'd give us 23/8/6 one night. Next night he gives us 8/11/2 with 4 TOs. He used to frustrate the out of me.

Odumb didn't wake up until A) Pau took his spot and B) Phil made him a 6th man.

You have a bad memory BB. If you think getting Odumb is better than getting everything the Pels are asking... But whatever.

Shaq was worth more than we got for him. AD ain't worth everything Demps is asking for right now.

Laker fans are delusional if you guys honestly think that proposed deal is favorable for the Pelicans. The Lakers have nothing but garbage to offer.
    FOH CN

Nobody BUT the Lakers have to give up a package like that. Small market owners are unwisely colluding against the Lakers. I'm sure Jeannie is gonna lay down the law during the next CBA. No more welfare checks from the Lakers since they keep trying this shiiiiiiiiiiiiit!

That's because other teams have young talent that potential trade partners would actually want, as opposed to only being willing to take if they also get a load of draft picks and cap relief.

Face it, Hernando: after years of tanking (all thanks to Kobe, btw) the Lakers have nothing but trash to show for it.

Not sure why the lakers at hanging so desperately on the picks.

They’ve had three consecutive second picks and nothing to show for it.

For that very reason. It’s not like he’ll be a spur, so be on an irrelevant east team

edit- I thought you asked why do I want him there, my bad

that's about 1M for the pels, compared to the 20+ they are effectively stealing by creating this drama. Your team owes the pels about 19M at the very least.

For Anthony Davis the Pelicans want:

    Ingram
    Kuzma
    Ball
    Hart
    Pope
    Rondo
    Lance
    Beasley
    4 first round picks
    2 second round picks
    Lakers Cheerleaders
    The Lakers Mascot
    LA Rams season tickets
    The custodial engineer
    Halle Berry Drawlz
    Two Stevie Wonder Albums
and a new Dodge cat on 24's

    Lets get this done already!!!

Meh, it's delayed for a season which works out for the Lakers.
    AD is still going there.
