Still think Philly is below the other three, but it's definitely interesting.

not trading for Nephew when you had the chance to stop one of said teams from surpassing you

Also not sure how that trade helps the Sixers get over MIL/TOR/BOS. There's still only one ball to go around.
50/40/90 split. Tobias is a great addition for them. JJ and Tobi gives them a much needed perimeter shooting. Great 1 year rental for Philly.

Now the Lakers will have to compete with the Clippers, Knicks, and Celtics in the offseason if they want AD.

I think Lakers should move on, tbh.

They have to make moves. It doesn’t have to be AD but that locker room is a cluster . They brought in Bullock which means they still care about making the playoffs...

People scoffed when I said LA would struggle to make the playoffs with Bron and this roster. It’s not a good roster and bringing the vets in not only made the team worse now, but played a large role in the culture and muting the young guys development
Yeah that's a stretch brother. They were middle-of-the-pack before LeBron went down. If you're going to say with LeBron you can't include without LeBron.

With how the Lakers and Klutch went about this I’m glad NO is making them sweat at least. It’s bull crap what they did.

Will be interesting to see what happens if they don’t get AD or Kawhi though. How do they mend the fences with the youth?

    great question.
I agree with you on this but disagree withe the Magic skewering.
Lonzo was the only prime draft pick he and Rob made (but it can easily be argued they blew that)
But they did not hire Luke or draft Ingram.

they put all the right pieces in place but if they fail to execute we will be screwed.
Dont feel Maginka have failed but the pressure turns up much higher

The bright side any star that joins in that aftermath will be looked at as saving the day ...because right now Lebron's le hopes look bleak,

Kwa could (not saying will) save the day next year.
When healthy, and by that I mean able to play a whole playoffs he is still Top 5 imo. Doubt he is ever going to return to his 2016 MVP peak but still very good.

Bron, Kwa and 3 even decent players gets you to WCFs imo.

I don't think they give a about the youth. They never did. Otherwise you'd see good locker room guys and established vets signed to mentor them.

Some team is gonna gut themselves to get Anthony Davis and they're gonna suck as much as the Pelicans did. Dude's not worth it.

I think the hubris of how they handled PG and Kawhi hurt them. To be spurned by guys you alienated (like PG, and maybe Kawhi) then to alienate your own youth and play a big role in tanking their value? I don’t know my man, that is a fireable offense to me.

Now, if they land some all stars this off season or deadline all is forgiven, but wow, they are on thin ice.

Dude, everyone has injuries. Spurs missed Murray all year, then White many games and DeRozan too. The point was before the season everyone was acting like this young group of “stars” + Bron was already a top 2-3 seed and that their margin for error was pretty high.

Me saying they would struggle again doesn’t mean they would be a bottom feeder. Lebron has played well over 50% of the games. They are just a flawed team even with Bron.

Many teams get injuries; that’s all baked in.

Lakers aren't getting AD by tomorrow. All that AD wanting out achieved was him totally ruining the Lakers franchise for this season. Lebron wants AD (I would too so I'm not hating on that) but he overplayed his hand in literally telling Magic to give up everybody to get him. It was an Oprah giveaway in La La land. I don't know how he fixes this tbh. "Listen man, I know I didn't have faith in any of you 5 minutes ago, but this is Thursday 3:01! This ain't 5 minutes ago! and now, RIGHT NOW! I believe in every single one of you. We can achieve anything we want to as a team. Now let's go out there and prove that we are united and play as a unit of brothers who always have each other's backs. Family on 3..."

But you made the caveat "with Lebron". Had you just said "the Lakers" you'd be correct. You're moving the goalpost.

When you have that power you have to use it. What good is it otherwise. They do bow down to his wishes.
