It might go somewhat like it did with Marcus Dupree. I can still recall the echo of the first (maybe it was the second) hit he took in the Cotton Bowl in 1983. Our defense was pretty focussed on sending a message. The sound of that "pop" was so loud everyone in the stadium heard it. I want to say it was Jeff Leiding, but maybe not. But one thing for sure, we did not just knock him out of the game, but all the way out of football.

He’s gone.
His teammates have made that clear.
it was my cousin Richard Peavy who knocked him out!

Quote from a source on WR Troy Omeire of Fort Bend Austin (OrangeBloods):
“Even though he did a top four with LSU and Alabama, I don’t think either are legitimate contenders. I’m sure there’s an open line of communication with those schools, but I still think it’s an in-state battle. Honestly, I think it’s neck and neck with Texas and Texas A&M. I think he likes the offense A&M runs in terms of a pro-style and in the SEC, and they have a selling point with him and Demas. But A&M has started to explore some other wide receivers too. Texas, I think, has gained the most momentum this spring with him going to the spring game, a couple unofficial visits. Before the Bru McCoy stuff erupted, he loved that Bru was getting reps in the spring game. He liked that he could make it onto the field as a freshman.”
A reminder that tomorrow, May 31st, is the end of the spring evaluation period and coaches will no longer be visiting high schools and JUCOs.
Summer camps will begin tomorrow and Saturday with certain UT coaches heading to Lindenwood Univ in St. Charles, MO (about 30 min outside of St. Louis).
The first of UT's camps in Austin will be on Sunday.
Inside Texas mentioned this morning that UT is still in communication with OL Nate Anderson of Frisco Reedy and he's been receptive, but they believe the staff has someone ahead of him currently.
They didn't clarify if this has anything to do with OL Damieon George now that RB Zach Evans has eliminated Texas, and the staff has decided to focus on better prospects.
Quote from Greg Biggins of 24/7 (who covers West Coast recruiting) on WR Johnny Wilson before his visit to Austin this weekend.
“Oregon looks like the leader at this point with Texas a close second. Washington, UCLA and Ohio State round out his top five,” Biggins said.
It’s you. Definitely a bad week bc of Bru but the Evans recruitment is still up in the air. I'm even if it wasn’t, we got news this week that we’re leading for a five star RB in Bijan Robinson.
Once you brush off the Bru news, you’ll see the light.
RB Kendall Milton of Clovis, CA will officially visit Ohio State this weekend.
They believe they have the lead currently.
RB Bijan Robinson will be in Columbus in two weeks.
Any dark recruiting clouds you're experiencing will lift on Monday.
I forgot to mention the SMU satellite camp will be on Sunday as well.
