Per 24/7, UT coaches are putting in a lot of work with S Xavion Alford of Pearland Shadow Creek.

They're hearing the Alabama buzz surrounding him at The Opening Finals at the beginning of July has faded, and Texas is hanging around.

he's a of a player. charlie bruce (wagner head coach) had told me how much they had to game plan for him. as well as wagner ran their version of the split T option , and as difficult as it is to defend, alford was a beast against it. not sure why bama has backed off on him. i don't know much about how he performed at the opening.

Still a long way to go. It’s going to be a marathon for that kid and I’m 100% glad we don’t have to be in that race. I will say this though, no way he goes to UGA while Milton is there. I still think it’ll eventually be Bama or LSU. Great talent, but he’s not worth the drama. He’s not Adrian Peterson, no matter how hard they keep trying to make the comparison.

Everybody has gone kind of silent on the Jerrin Thompson recruitment. He’s supposedly just waiting for his video to be done and the last I read on IT was that it was supposed to be done no later than this week. I’d guess he’s probably the next ‘20 guy to join the class. TCU is the only other compe ion for him per Roach.
