I think they will be fine this week with Chris Brown playing that role and having Josh Thompson back him up. Owen's and Montrell Estelle can back up Jones and Sterns.
They have a lot of players to mix and match with:
B. Jones
C. Sterns
C. Brown
J Thompson
M. Estelle
T. Owen's
Chris Adimora
Still a lot of talent to hold down the fort until Overshown and Foster come back....unlike the RB position.
Be patient. The fiscal year ended on Aug 31 and the Dept of Education financial filings are being compiled. https://ope.ed.gov/athletics/#/
A&M's operating revenues are around $150mil. Texas' are north of $210 million.
Forbes is using the NCAA financial reporting numbers that combine capital campaign revenue and operating revenue. When those numbers are released, A&M will fall back to $150 million, while Texas' numbers (with the roughly $150 million in SEZ capital) will surge to almost $400 million for the year. People are going to go nuts when Texas' numbers are released.
Just be patient. My guess is that CDC will break up the SEZ money so it isn't all received and reported on one year, for political reasons (remember that UT Austin's academic operating budget is well over $3B and A&M's is barely $1.7B), but even if that happens, Texas' revenue will be double A&M's, and A&M will fall out of the top 10 for NCAA programs.
The numbers are going to be stunning when Texas reports its athletics department revenues. Just be prepared.

Per OrangeBloods, the recovery for RB Daniel Young is going so well that he may be taking some snaps against Rice.
A reminder that CB Kitan Crawford will be on ESPN2 tonight at 7 p.m. CST.
Depth chart lists Thompson as starter and Jones S his backup.
For the nickel?
Texas commit Kitan Crawford just intercepted ags commit Haynes King in the endzone. Scoreless game on ESPN.
I see WR Collin Johnson is limited and may not play due to a hamstring.
He probably shouldn't have played last week. He's out there playing about 75% at best. Rest him and get him back for OK state.
You tin me?
This defense better get salty real quick. Anything less than a shutout against Rice is a failure. No,getting cute, BS. We shouldn’t need to blitz one single play during the game. If we start the game looking weak and start falling into some trap game crap then Orlando needs to be put on the hot seat.
Tighten your ship up Herman!
Lighten up.
This team runs a completely different offense.
We had better run some blitzes. Run blitzes actually.
And a shutout... this means nothing. What we should hope for is a lot of different kids getting to play and no injuries.
The real test for our pass defense SHOULD still be on our schedule.
OL Sam Cosmi projected as a first-rounder in this mock.
