West Coast reporter from 24/7 discusses his Texas crystal ball for CB Kelee Ringo:
"Texas has made Ringo a HUGE priority in 2020 and he's obviously reciprocated that interest. Caught up with him again at the adidas 7v7 this past weekend and, although I don't think it's a done deal by any means, I do think the Longhorns have leapfrogged the likes of Ohio State and Washington in this race."
"Ringo loves the staff, the town of Austin and the direction of the program. Talked to a few more people in AZ who have told me that Texas has a pretty substantial lead right now."
Dudes got a great build, Yancy doing work! Do we got him for one or 2 years?

24/7 saying no practice today, but things start up again on Friday.
I haven't paid a bit of attention to the S&C coach before Mack Brown came to Texas, but since Mack was here we have had a few guys who came in with a lot of fanfare, but for the first time Yancy McKnight has actually lived up to the hype he got. This dude knows what he is doing and it shows in the images of the athletes as well as the strides they make on the field. Look at the weight of our offensive and defensive linemen and then look at the pictures, they a huge, without a lot of bad weight.
For the first time, I think ever, I am loving every coach we have and the job they are doing. I wish Giles was a better recruiter, but as a coach, he is awesome. Beck is a recruiting monster and he is doing a great job with Sam. Coach hand is worth his weight in gold.
I just want to keep these guys together as long as we can because I know other programs are going to start poaching our guys once we start winning.
WR Ryan King of Loganville, GA has committed to Georgia Tech.

The #Chiefs are expected to sign former #Saints DE Alex Okafor, source said. He gets a 3-year deal worth up to $24M.
Former Horns getting paid this offseason.
For the most part I agree with all of this. I do feel one or two coaches don't carry the weight they should in recruiting. Won't mention names here. And there may be one or two coaches I think Texas could upgrade positionally with, but overall I'm very happy to have them all to this point.
Yeah, Yancy's big time!
As long as its functional muscle.
I dont give a crap what they look like or how much they lift.
The kid from OU last year that looked like a fat slob, that almost tapped out in the 40 m dash and who had limited reps...
Well That kid had a great first year at tackle in the NFL. think he dropped to the 2nd or 3rd round as well.
I want players.
That being said, who was Whittington's strength coach in HS and how dare he carry that kind of DNA around.
InsideTexas said today Brennan Eagles is at 230 lbs. and looking good-
"Brennan Eagles is starting to get people a little excited. Heading into the off-season we wrote they wanted to get his body operating optimally and whatever they've done it has worked. He's running better than ever, even though he's up to nearly 230 pounds. He's been working at Z which seems to suggest more playing time this season with Collin Johnson a fixture at X. Eagles has been taking advantage of Devin Duvernay taking the camp off to heal (it's a very minor injury that he played through last year)."
