With all the recruiting Texas is doing out west, I'm starting to wonder if they are laying the ground work for a move into the Pac?
I will not hold my breath here. We've sucked recruiting the Dunne players for a good while.
I don't think UT will need to go OOS this cycle for a safety, but this kid was the combine champion at the Los Angeles Opening today.

I don't really think so. The west coast DI teams are a little down right now and so it seems there is an opportunity to get some more top recruits from there.
DT Sawyer Goram-Welch of Longview will be in Austin this weekend, according to Inside Texas.

Washington, Wilson, Flowe, Ricks and Phillips are Texas offers.
Great news.
They got to him in time.
And he is young, so if any relearning required, he can do it.
Quotes from S Lathan Ransom of Tucson, AZ after receiving a UT offer (OrangeBloods):
“They visited my school two times this spring. They were talking to me. I had one talk with the safeties coach the week before, talked on the phone,” Ransom said. “He told me they were going to offer me the next week and they kept their word and offered. I was super excited.”
“We have some close friends out there in Austin. We went there when I was younger and I can’t wait to get back there soon,” Random said. “My dad and I have definitely been talking about it, maybe getting there around the end of May.”
“I know they have a great history of football. They’ve had great defenses in the past,” Ransom said. “And they had a great year last year beating Georgia. They’re definitely on the come up. Coach (Craig) Naivar has a great résumé putting DBs in the league.”
“I saw that with both those two dudes (Jake Smith and Brayden Liebrock signing with UT). They talk very highly of it. That’s a big deal when a school is recruiting your area,” Ransom said.

Georgia Tech grad transfer OL Parker Braun has moved his visit to March 1st, per Inside Texas.
Per The Football Brainiacs, CB Clark Phillips III of La Habra, CA will be visiting UT in the next few weeks.
They mentioned he likes Coach Naivar a lot and they feel a trip to Austin will move UT way up his list.

The Football Brainiacs mentioned Williams has been in contact with Coach Orlando, but they don't appear to talk consistently.
They believe UT could pick up their communication with him after seeing how he performed over the weekend.
