Somebody needs to tell the tv guys to cool this .....back in NFL...six seasons in the NFL....the NFL....the NFL...back in the NFL. That ruins it.

When a league comes in not caring about being safe, which means going back to playing the game as it was suppose to be played with a ton of speedy black athletes out of those HBCU/DivII/DivIII/NAIA schools, players in their first pro football seasons. Making it very clear the NFL is an enemy, that might work.

Bring back the kickoff return by backing the kicker up.
Allow holding on special teams plays.
Pass interference just 15 yards.
One foot in bound for a reception.



Make it real clear this is big boy football, not that sissy NFL stuff.

People have forgotten all about the old WFL. Their favorite line was...."he still has it"..ha!

The reason the AFL made it was the genius of bringing in all that HBCU speed, something the NFL wasn't doing all that much back then. Tons of small college players also.

I saw a couple Alliance games, listening to....back in the NFL, played with the NFL....sucked. The XFL won't be like that it will be in compe ion with the NFL.

Good riddance.

The XFL needs to cool all this safety thing, twek some stuff like the kickoff return, one foot in like the college game, no FG's...............think about that.

The CFL does things differently, that's what will work a different brand of football. Change things.

Imagine having to return all kickoffs, if the ball is 9 yards deep, so what, ya better get it out.

I think it was Ebersol who got McMahon the deal for Saturday's Night Main Event during "Hulkamania" on NBC. Strange that someone from the same family would try to start a football league right before the XFL re-debuts.
