He decided to bail after a 3 hour meeting with Jeannie on the Laker's offseason plans. Speculation is she wants to keep Luke.

What a classy press conference by Magic.

Pretty huge contrast with the incredibly tacky being posted here.

Magic's self-awareness is the most admirable trait of his, he knows when to quit when he isn't good at something, he's always been that way..can't say the same for 99% of pro athletes and celebrities..

    Fair.
But Lakers deserve some ridicule for this show ..
I loved magic as player and business man and kudos that he admitted he failed.
But he couldn't even do that right.
Nothing wrong with stepping down and expressing how yo can better help the game but quitting on a boss in the media who you conisder "like family"
is not classy even if the words and intent was ...

Very true, but being in Los Angeles once Lebron retires they will be able to get players. As of right now the Clippers are poised to become a become the destination for NBA players. The richest owner in the NBA and a good management team in place.

I dont think Jeanie is the issue, she is trying to fix the problem.
Magic helped initially ... but sucked afterward.
But now is the time to re-assess quick fixes.
IF luke stays give him a competent staff.
Make him hire a shooting coach.

Bron and company wanted Spo gone initially ...and he would be a great hire.
Has bron respect actually cares about defense and flip nation in socal would make him a Pacquiao type God.

Dude is literally blindsided his boss and threw Rob Lowe under the bus for good measure. Mofo is just bailing so he doesn't get blamed for FAs passing on LA this summer. What a coward, tbh.

Can't blame him, he is worth over $500 million dollars, is part owner of he Dodgers and doesn't want to deal with this circus anymore. It was pretty smart of him to get out when he did.
