So you think they fired him and told him they would do a press release, then he beat them to the punch by saying he quit? He didn't look like someone who was comfortable saying what he was saying. He's used to getting his way since probably before college, but in business things get rough. Friendships get battered, which is why I never do businesses with friends.

So is it safe to say that every major free agent will be avoiding the Lakers like the plague this offseason? If they were getting anyone, even a Kemba Walker tier player, Magic wouldn't have quit because he would have wanted to take all the credit for it.

In his self serving presser he mumbled something about how he didn't want anything to come between he and Jeannie. I took that as she wanted Walton to stay and he was butthurt. Along with realizing he wasn't going to get his way with rigged trades like the AD scam. Drops "Serena Williams wants me to mentor her blah blah" and other attention bull .

Lakers need to blow everything up, they've been the worst franchise outside of Phoenix since 2013..not using the amnesty on Kobe and hiring Byron Scott led to D'Angelo Russell's struggles(which he himself had said) and trading him, wasting a pick on Lonzo, etc..Jeannie Buss running things is embarrassing .
They should hire Rich Paul as president and go from there..
