Star Wars went to a long time ago. The prequels now only exist for memes and the “so bad they’re good” ironic viewing.

The new movies are mediocre overall but far and away better than the prequels. The revisionist history of acting like George Lucas’ genius vision got completely pillaged and raped by Disney is hilarious. He made one good movie, outsourced the next two, then made 3 of the worst piles of garbage ever put on film.

If anything, George Lucas should be thankful that he sold Lucasfilms, he used to be Public Enemy No 1 among Star Wars fans, but now everyone forgot about him and just screech about Kathleen Kennedy and that shirt she wore.

Makes me worry that in time people will forget how bad this trilogy is too. I remember my edible kicking in when Princess Leia was floating through space and thinking that moment was so terrifically bad I was enjoying my theater experience lmao.

It's a mess of a film. It's so dense and moves along so fast I wonder if JJ was like shotgunning and bunch of ideas and was like if people don't like something in it, it wont be on the screen long enough to matter. There are some high highs in the film that really redeem it from being a terrible film.

Not a complete disaster like The Last Jedi was. Slightly better then Phantom Menace & Attack of the Clones but not as good as Revenge of the Sith.

I wanted Finn to be a Jedi so bad. There had to be a reason he was even able to wield a lightsaber. The robe he had on at the end of TFA to me was foreshadowing what his journey would be in this trilogy. I was really looking forward to it.

But no. Rian Johnson had him chasing around Asian poony while freeing horses on a gambling planet for rich white people. Thanks Rian.
