Gambo said on the radio today a coach told him that 1. Monty Williams is being told by gregg popovich to not take the Lakers job and apparently they are really close 2. Monty Williams is apparently extremely interested in the Suns job and they think he will get it 3. He believes maybe the reason why they fired Igor at this time was because they think they had a good chance of getting Monty Williams. Interesting points that surprised me and also I think it would be really funny to take Monty Williams away from the Lakers.
