Richer on richer crime. Who cares if they do an hour in jail or not. Let them duke it out in civil court with those that got hosed out of getting accepted.

prison time for white collar crime is always an interesting discussion, and depends on what you think the purpose of prison is.

is it to keep the public safe from threats? if so, then prison is only really needed for violent offenders.

is it punitive? then it absolutely makes sense in the context of white collar crime, as fines dont hurt rich people much

I voted similar to Pelican in both Yes and No.
Explaination is, basically I think she weasles out one way or another, does money or physical favors to judge or jury but.....PR conscious judge may give her a few months in Club Fed strictly for PR veneer of it looking like justice. Prolly sentence her to a year or two with a wink nod agreement she's getting out in months.

It makes sense that the privileged would want to look out for one another. That's really the way of the world. Step out of line like Cosby did and they'll throw the book at you still. The Smollette case was blatant even for the elite. They made a mockery out of a mockery.

Well now that money laundering is included in the charges, there's a chance.. Either way it will be minimal, and the feds is known as the resort when it comes to state jails or dept. of corrections. I hope she gets prison time simply for walking into court smiling and shaking the prosecutions hands

You know what I think? A massive overhaul to the prison system. As in, inclusion and desegregation. Include women; stop segregating based on gender. Prisons should be co-ed and gender-blind, even down to the cell level. Just group anybody with anybody based on a computer lotto system.

Do you think the feminists agree?

Don't know how reliable gossip mag Sophie Dweck is but:

Loughlin reportedly having her liarwyers pitch a "No jail time and substancial fine of 2 million."
substancial . Those two s worth reportedly north of 100 million.

The Fuller House star was already angry with her fashion designer husband, 56, after he recommended they reject the plea deal prosecutors offered in April, says the insider. “Lori was inclined to take the deal, but Mossimo said it would ruin both of their careers.”

Because it's still in progress and they just had a court appearance.
And "to plea or not to plea" may or may not even be on option now. Interesting development.
(Probably shouldn't be, but richies and the InJustice System have a way of cooperating.

Also this is the first news (that I have seen) about whether or not Full House chick considered taking the plea offer previously.

Ever thought of pursuing a career in the tabloids or entertainment media in general? You're pretty good at keeping up with the celebs.
