Ugh they're making a discless version. that .
Lmao what a disgusting design.

Welp, massively disappointing. I figured worst case scenario we'd at least have Demon's Souls as a launch le. If I'm not in a corona mass grave in 2023 I'll get the PS5 Slim though.
I am less likely to buy this. I was already on the fence with the ty controller but the console itself is far more terrible looking.
didn't watch was there a price?
i dont give a about the console aesthetics, and that would never factor my decision to buy it
but i had to watch the last 45 minutes or so intermittently and on mute because of work
did i miss a horizon release date or the console's pricing?
No release date for Horizon, which means 2022 or 2023. If it was 2021 they would have said so.
spiderman is a good launch release, but that's not going to be enough to convince me its a launch purchase. we didnt even see gameplay footage for it (though it even resembles the previous game it will be absolutely worth a pickup).
didnt get a price on the console
got some horizon cutscenes tho!
yikes
PS:
starting your reveal event with GTA V, a ing ps3 game
now that im not getting a PS5 at launch im even more curious about ElNono's tease about another PS4 le that im not aware of yet
maybe a remaster of infamous 1/2?
To be fair, I was already iffy on even getting a PS5 at all.
At this stage in my life I'm in it for the story mostly. Outside of the aesthetics, it looks huge and it doesn't look like you can put it on it's down side like you could with the other consoles??
Quick correction:
Looks like you can.
Boy does it look awkward though.
The Sony router!
NBA 2k21 : moar sweat
Allow me to play devil's advocate. When you saw the XBox Series X reveal you knew that thing was built to dissipate heat with that big ass fan pushing air up and out the top of the case. 8-10 years ago when gaming PCs consumed way more power than they do now, that's how top of the line gaming PC cases were designed. I was hoping for a larger form factor or maybe even a design similar to the Series X (even though that one's ugly too, though not as ugly as PS5). This isn't like PS4 where they were using a low end mobile processor cpus and a lower midrange gpu where you weren't going to be generating a ton of heat. This system has a full fat high-end gaming PC cpu and a borderline upper midrange - high end gpu in it, and it's clocked to a pretty high clockspeed. This system is going to consume a lot of power, generate a lot of heat, and you're probably going to have loud fans and possibly pretty bad failure rates trying to cool everything. Unless AMD's Navi 2 is just a mindblowing leap in performance per watt vs Navi 1, and they're both on 7nm lithography so it's not like this would be automatic, I wonder how they're going to cool that system. The aesthetics push me even farther to waiting for a PS5 Slim, because no one wants to deal with RROD or even YLOD levels of system failures.
Has Cry Havoc already come in scoffing any idiot who buys a console because of the superiority of PC’s? Or are we still waiting on that?
He wasn't talking about GTA?
Well, more proof that only Nintendo ever makes consoles worth buying at launch.
Gran Turismo is the only thing that might make me ever get a console tbh
I actually got the opposite feeling, that GT town they showed seems a lot like the old GT games when offline career mode was the focus tbh
This.
Black Friday 2023 Spiderman bundle.
Yeah the Spiderman they showed looked like what Uncharted Lost Legacy was to Uncharted 4. Like a DLC and not a sequel. Demon's Souls though, goddamn I want that. Too bad it won't be out for 3+ years.
why would he tell me to make space in my backlog for a ps3 game that came out 7 years ago
But it's GTA V Royal
Seriously, Spiderman DLC and Godfall is the PoorStation 5 exclusive launch lineup? , what a disappointment. Gearbox ing sucks, they're the ones who gave us that Aliens: Colonial Marines piece of .
why are you assuming what spiderman is?
