Jason Kidd, Chris Weber?
Which player, that never played for the Spurs during the Tim Duncan era, do you feel, should have been a Spur at some point in his career?
That ment, not just mentioning stars.
I start with Shane Battier and Grant Hill (the later 3+D version). Who else?
Jason Kidd, Chris Weber?
Nicolas Batum (thanks a lot, Portland)
Rasheed Wallace
Charles Barkley. Lots of rumors when he was with Philly that the spurs were trying to trade for him. We would’ve ring’d A few times with him and D Rob in their primes.
Andrei Kirilenko. The guy was awesome-- versatile, played defense, had a few 5,5,5,5,5 games...
Raymond Felton to satisfy PATFO's fat PG fetish
We don't say that name 'round these parts.
+1
he was the closest and would have been awesome as a spur
The unrealized dream of a Manu/Scola P&R...
Not only that, but the fact that we basically gifted him to Houston so we could pay Matt ing Bonner.
Jason Kidd. He talks openly about regretting his decision not to join the Spurs in '03 as a free agent. That probably would've added a couple of rings. Popovich has said he would've started Kidd and Parker together. That would have been ridiculous.

Tony Allen
Battier maybe.
Grant Hill?
Jermaine O'Neal. ing Larry Bird lied to his ass and told him he wouldn't fire Isaiah Thomas, re-signed him, and then fired Thomas anyway. He would have signed with us in 2003 after Kidd passed if he would have known that Bird was going to fire his friend and mentor. Peak 25 YO Jermaine O'Neal to pair with Tim.
Scola in his prime....which he would have been for SA. I mean for Christ sakes the Spurs won it with Oberto starting lol
I always thought Battier would have been a good fit.
How about a prime Zach Randolph? I always wanted to see Duncan have a legit C on the court with him. Can you imagine what Duncan and Randolph together would have done to the league - especially with Bowen playing perimeter D?
Wow. I never heard that one... What a pairing that would have been.
Yeah I remember that too. Would have been a nasty front court
Scola
Kidd
Hard to think of J O'Neal as a Spur but wow if
Scola, Kidd, Tyson Chandler, Jimmer
Shaq was from San Antonio, and now openly praises Spurs system every chance he gets. Would he ever considered playing for Spurs? David and Shaq, and then Timmy. Dang
No. He was an insecure little prick when he was first in the league, trashing DRob every chance he got. He also forged the Hollywood trail that LeBron eventually traveled. He never would have played in SA. He fancied himself a rapper and movie star.
