When starting a game, I usually choose the "normal" setting the first time through pretty much regardless of what type of game I'm playing, and then adjust up or down. Do you start the same way, or do you usually pick an easier or harder setting?

The one right before the "insane/extreme" difficulty. On second playthroughs, I may crank it up to the top.

    typically this tbh

if its the basic easy/normal/hard i go hard

if theres like very easy/easy/normal/hard/very hard i'll still usually play hard. beyond that, yeah just typically one setting before the hardest on original playthrough. always max difficulty on an NG+ run

    Normal.

I only care about harder difficulties if it's a must when going for 100% completion. I usually dont even keep games anymore after I beat them once. I either pass it down to my brother or trade it in.

Always start any new game on hard. Try to beat games on their most difficult setting if I unlock it.
