Why: On paper he's perfect for today's league. He's a tall, long, fluid athlete with a silky smooth jumper and impressive handles. His frame should allow him to get a lot stronger as he grows into his body. Offensively, it appears as if he has all it takes to be an elite shooter who can also make plays better than most players his size. Defensively, he theoretically has the size and athleticism to defend virtually anyone.
Why Not: He was bad during his one season at Duke -- there's no other way to state it. Really bad. Despite getting open shots due to playing with multiple lottery picks and despite his pretty looking shot, hit only 33.3% of his threes. More damning, he hit only 39.4% of his two-pointers and was pathetic when trying to finish at the rim despite his length and athleticism. Doesn't always play hard and struggles with confidence at times. Do you trust his enticing tools enough to overlook the egg he laid at Duke?
Spurs Fit: Letting him play a year in Austin would be the right call in order to restore his confidence. If he lives up to his tools, he's a strong fit on the roster going forward.

I would have gone with Alfredrick Hughes. Though Hughes did manage to break 40% FG.
I disagree, Chris Carrawell is a nice touch for the floor as he was the underperforming Dukie.
I’m trying to remember Carawell on the spurs lol
I don't think he made it out of training camp, and it was before the d/g-league existed.
