When I was in HS the fastest cat around here was a sprinter at crosstown rival Redwood named Gus Brown, he was "Da Man" and black as night. He was beating everyone and running 10 flat ish for yards.

I'm betting everyone reading this has a similar situation, the fastest cat around was black.

Yes Brown was the fastest dude in Tulare County, but the real DA MAN was Edison's (Fresno) Sam Davis (9.6ish). He would end up at SJS running on those great Spartan 4x1 teams with John Carlos and Ronnie Ray Smith both WR cats.

All black.

There was a fast white guy from Reedley named Darel Newman, who can talk about him, oh yeah.....nobody.

I always have fun with this topic, it's funny watching how people try so hard to make excuses for simple reality.

Orosi in a little farm labor community out in the middle nowhere. a tiny little Mexican town. They did however have Mackinley Dillingham a big fast black running back on the HS football team who stood out like a sore thumb. He starred at COS and San Diego State.
