Elizabeth Warren draws standing ovation in Michigan after calling out Betsy DeVos' incompetence

She’s called her “the worst secretary of education we have ever seen.”

So, when Warren brought up DeVos during a stump speech at nonprofit organization Focus Hope in Detroit on Tuesday,

    it wasn’t surprising at all.

What was surprising but also heartening was the full-throated, enthusiastic response and standing ovation
she received from those in attendance. It’s worth watching.

"One of my education promises is

I will not appoint anyone to be Secretary of Education who has not taught in a public school.

    Betsy DeVos need not apply."

Basically a toss up between Trump and Warren in TX, according to Quinnepac poll.

Against Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Trump leads 46-45.

Zero doubt that every single Democrat would jump behind her at the drop of the nomination.

    2016:
    T 52.23% H 43.24%

means the R lean was 9 points against an unfavorable, disliked candidate. Trump net (approval-disapproval) have since eroded, and another four years of demographic change, coupled with a vastly more organized and energetic Texas Democratic party will see the next gap a lot narrower.

Texas will be a true battleground state in the next election.

    thats not what she said

you dont think introducing (or greatly expanding) a relatively new sector of work will create new jobs? and if its simultaneously a sector that's going to combat climate change, that's just 2 birds

will the republic recoil in horror again to recall that infrastructure and jobs and other good stuff costs money? the infrastructure will not be mocked, if we don't fix it, it will fail and our up.

I think the days where Republicans could credibly claim to be concerned about deficits is well past. Hike taxes and spend another trillion dollars borrowing money to fix stuff with a solid ROI that is going to be measurably higher than the cost of the debt.

No-brainer. Which means that MAGA/KAG are going to hate it.

Funniest part about all this gender redefining stuff is how pointless and completely and totally irrelevant it really is..progressives who get way into this stuff really think this is the way people are really going to be talking in 30 years. Meanwhile conservatives are worried they will win and they will make it happen via colleges, the media etc.

The reality imo is that these re s are going to look about as stupid as the 1960s hippies who thought the future was going to be free love and communes everywhere
