The in game and post game adjustments have got them past philly and mil, and he's been driving Kerr crazy mixing in Box + 1 defense, and forcing GS to play big whenever he feels like it.

It was his dream until Lebron signed there. You can see Kawhi and his group's enthusiasm for the Lakers wane overnight after that signing. Suddenly, they were open to being traded to other teams like NY or Philly. I don't think it has anything to do with Lebron the player but more so Klutch and the surrounding circus that comes with that baggage. They want to build Kawhi as a brand and Lebron/Klutch suck all the air out of the room in LA. It's still possible he signs there but Lebron's going to have to be very up front about being the sidekick/beta in that duo. The last thing Kawhi wants is to do go down as another Pippen.
