Leg 3: Bruins One win away from ECF
Leg 4: Celtics Three wins away from ECF
Lookit sticks, I know what it’s like to fahkin lose. To feel so desperately that you’re wicked right, yet to fail nonetheless. Dread it. Run from it. Destiny still arrives. Or should I say, The Boston Sweep has.
ing snowflake
Boston
Lol
What's to laugh about? America only cares about two sports like it's a religion; Baseball and Football.
Guess who won those respective championships most recently?
Baseball is not a sport
Not a fan of Boston but that’s only cause they win a lot lately
‘‘Twas rooting for the long time bridesmaid
Has a city (or state) ever swept the four sports in one year though?
But you think Cricket is?
But you think soccer is
Damn fine sport, as well. Kind of an inversion of baseball, where a batter faces a lineup of pitchers or "bowlers," and where getting the batter out is the big event rather than scoring runs. I think the limited overs version of it is flawed though. Real cricket is Test, but that requires an investment of 8 hours per day over 5 days to watch a full match . Cricket needs a short format (where a match ends in 3-4 hours) that isn't a gimmick. T20 feels like a home run derby.
Well yeah
Real sports don't need to use minigames as tiebreakers. Real sports played by real sportsmen keep playing the proper game until a winner is decided.
baseball is almost entirely minigames (batter pitcher matchup)
Trying to Philo too hard with that one.
glorified penalty shot tbh
It doesn't matter what you think the batter vs. pitcher matchup resembles (and it's not a glorified penalty shootout. Probably one of your dumbest Philo-level opinions). A "minigame" in this context is described as something unrelated to the core game design in order to determine a winner. Penalty shots in regulation soccer are earned by drawing a penalty in the box. Nothing is earned in a shootout, and it barely resembles the main game of soccer. No dribbling, passing, defense other than a goalie guessing right or left or center. It's a lazy and unimaginative way to break a tie. Just play on or design your sport better so that players can play on (the argument goes soccer players would "die" if they had to play beyond 120 minutes).
