Good trade for both teams, AD gets to play for a ring and NO gets to rebuild around Zion with some solid players and some pieces to move if necessary especially that pick. Pelicans might be a sleeper in the west next season if Zion ends up just half as good as his potential and the Lakers, granted if AD stays healthy, move to le favorites in the west although I wouldn't discount the Warriors entirely especially if Klay comes back around playoff time.

Im sure the Lakers will get another guy and be really good next year, but has there ever been a more overrated player than AD tbh? Dude has achieved nothing from a team standpoint.

In a weird way, probably saves the Lakers from their own stupidity. Giving either Jimmy Buckets or Kemba the max probably would not end up being smart. They should just split that cap space on two mid tier free agents. Bring back Rondo. Get a shooter like Terrence Ross. Then fill out the rest of the roster with cheap veterans who can still play a little.
Getting rid of Lonzo was major addition by subtraction. He is trash, and the circus with his father was never worth it. They really should have taken Fox..
