That was my thoughts exactly... who was such a better pick? Little? Samanic skill set was the team's biggest need. He was the third best option after, Rui and Sekou. And then we got the back up wing we needed. We didn't get a big cause I think the direction is to keep LMA the 5 especially with Murray in the mix. It was very telling. I don't expect him to play much but there is definitely an avenue. If Bertans stinks or Rudy gets injured he's in the 4 spot. I really feel this was the biggest need filled. AND we got our three.

Wasn't too enthralled with the idea of the Spurs drafting him when it came out months ago that he was adamant on playing in the NBA from day one when he doesn't look ready. Think there will be some friction sooner rather than later. I also see some autism in him tbh; familiar and bad sign. Could spell trouble down the line...

They better not stash him. I don't see why he can't get NBA minutes out of the gate, and he'd develop better in Austin than anywhere else. As for the rest, I guess we'll see. I'd be shocked if PATFO didn't know about major psychological factors at this point.

I liked Little as well but I trust their scouting on him if they felt like Luka was the better prospect. Clarke was always going to be a role player and they got that guy at 29 tbh.....

I don't see the Bertans comparison at all outside of being white and coming from a country where Hostel was likely filmed. Honestly, I think this kid either washes out or becomes an above average player. He's much too skilled at his size to have an Ilyasova type career IMO...ball handling + NBA athleticism + good shooting stroke are pretty damn hard to come by for somebody that big....
