Couple good prospects picking at 19 and 29.Not a high ceiling, probably needs a year in Austin but he's a pretty solid pick. Don't know if he's ever a starter, though. I like that he's an off the ball player, which works well next to White, Murray and even Walker

I think most guys are mad because the picks made don't adress the biggest need of this team which is a defensive gifted 6'8" ish guy. Even if Samanic and/or Johnson pan out, they won't ever be those type of players.
The Samanic pick was good once you realize guys we were salivating over (Rui) were never a realistic possibility. Johnson pick was average at best. If they snatch up Roby at 49 I'd give them a solid B draft grade though.
Samanic will be a combo forward, imo.
Literally has all star potential. One of the videos I watched said he was a great option as small ball 4. Supposedly he's a defender first who's an optimistic scorer. If your a McDonalds All American I welcome you to the Spurs.

I like that he is reportedly a gym rat and plays hard on defense. But Lonnie is the same height and more athletic, so I'm not sure what the plan is going forward.

As far as this pick it's a total meh even with him being a one-and-done from the NBA factory Kentucky. Was thinking Porter Jr would be a flashy pickup at 29 to even out the online hate for Luka we saw tonight.
