Primo has the ability to be a great player and pop might just stick around for a bit longer because of him... what you guys think?

Primo has the ability to be anything, including a bust. Doubtful that Pop makes his plans around that.

what's with the Primo victory cigars after preseason ... he has looked good, but let's see him sustain this in the big leagues. people still think white is on the cusp of being an mvp because of that one playoff game against denver

How? He's clearly already better than Lebron could ever dream of.

I think Pop doesn’t want to leave the club in disarray. Somehow I feel he’s part responsible for the Kawhi debacle, seeing the player he traded his favorite player torpedoed the whole organization. I think he wants to correct that. Of course getting the All-Time winningest coach doesn’t hurt either. It’s mot necessarily about Primo, but he’s a good piece to get in the right path

Pops staying or leaving has nothing to do with Wins and Losses.
    That's been established.

Doubt there's a correlation between the two and this whole site needs to take a deep breath and walk instead of run.

He's an unproven rookie with a ton of potential. No more or no less. Let it play out before hes anointed the next kawhi/jordan/insert fantasy player.

If pop still has the energy and drive he willcoach. If not he wont. I think it comes down to that.

He hasn't had either in years. I love Pop but he should've left with Duncan.

Hes an old man who lost his wife. What else is going to occupy his life?

He reminds me of my dad. 77 years old and will not retire. He thinks if he retires he will just sit at home and deteriorate and die off in a year or two.

Bet pop is the same way.

The merits of your post are more or less immaterial because I seriously doubt they push him out the door. Right or wrong, there going to let pop end it on his terms.

I totally agree with everything you stated. I feel for Pop as far as losing his life mate, his wife. That has to be so damn hard to continue on when the one you've loved for so long has been taken away. Definitely sad for Pop.

There is nothing fulfilling to occupy his life other then coach the Spurs?
    Wow.

if scoring 18 points in a preseason game isn't enough to tell you he's making the all star team this year, then I dunno what to tell you, man

Hysteria. Other than Sammich, who was acknowledged as being two years away, who took 3 years to be seen?

I said it before Pop will probably get the record this year and since he doesn’t want to look like he just stayed to get record he will coach one more. So for better or worse will see Pop as HC for two seasons.

Yep I still remember how hyped everyone was when Lonnie had that breakout game against the Rockets. Times are desperate but I still want to see Primo get more reps before I start hyping him up like he’s the new Kawhi.

It's his comfort zone and pretty much his iden y. Hes an old dog and removing himself would be a new trick tbh.

I've lost 2 siblings in a decade. How did I keep moving forward ? Kept my mind busy busting my ass at work. It's a comfort zone and a much needed distraction.
