    ...........522 yards rushing to pass Barry Sanders and move into third all time on the rushing list. This is very doable but hate to see it despite being a Niner/Gore fan. Sanders should be the top dawg anyway.

    The great Gale Sayers and Bo Jackson nowhere to be seen on this top 50 list and that is a total shame. Both belong with the greats.

    How great was Niner Joe "Jet" Perry? He is STILL on the top 50 rushing list at 34.

    How is Floyd Little in the Hall of Fame, He's not a top 50 rusher either and neither is Terrell Davis.

    A few things.....

    Walter Payton the only HBCUer listed.

    Pitt has Curtis Martin, Tony Dorsett and Lesean McCoy in the top 25.

    Jim Brown averaged 100 yards a game, if he'd played 16 game seasons instead of 12 and 14 he'd still be in the top 10. At 6-2 230 he could still play today, was a freak of nature in his day. Marion Motley also, and he could play today also.

    The top 5 49ER RB's

    1.Joe "Jet" Perry.....HOF, first black to have a 1000 yard season, first RB to have consecutive 1000 yard seasons/
    2.Hugh "King" McElhenny HOF. one of the greatest runners ever.
    3.Roger Craig first RB to have a 1000 yards rushing and receiving in a season
    4.Frank Gore future HOF
    5.J.D.Smith....first HBCUer to have a 1000 yard season

    Won't ignore....Ricky Watters, Garrison Hearst, Wendell Tyler, Delvin Williams, John Henry Johnson HOF (mostly a Steeler)

    Barry Sanders is way overrated.
