    Good signing.

Decent player on a pretty cheap deal that fits a need we have.

White and Murray should get a healthy chunk of minutes next season.

Dude Spurs always seem to sign a guy thats damn near washed up.
Yeah, they squeeze every last ounce out of a guy then in a year or two get the next almost washed up guy. Solid pick up and he came for cheap.

I think White is more trustworthy handling the ball
I hope Dejounte shows equal or better but I am not sure I trust Dejounte until he proves it
Before he got hurt he was showing positive signs
Preference is that they can find a way to both work
Dejounte probably will get limited minutes even if he starts. Probably would need preseason and the first one or two months of reg season to get in game shape. Not conditioning wise but more in rhythm and chemistry with teammates and playing at game speed.

Anyway, it's a nice vet signing at a good price. Definitely filled a need.

We didn't use all the MLE, so we could still sign someone starting at about 3 mil a year for up to 4 years. If we utilize pay increases every year, that could get around a 3.5 mil annual salary.

We don't have great high-end talent, but we are deep, so I don't know if we'll even use it. I suppose we could either sign a young European project (Milutinov?) or wait and maybe use it on a mid-season buyout candidate.

Spurs already adding Murray and Walker to the mix next season. Carroll takes care of the backup 3 and can slide to 4. Next need to add a 4/5.
Can’t unless something changes. Waive Metu or trade away someone

I’m worried he’s not getting enough easy buckets, dunks and layups when he’s shooting 39%. I had to triple check his game logs and yeah he shot 39% last year

I see this as a much more realistic lineup than anything else I've seen posted in this thread.
    Literally three posts above

I think it makes more sense to start him. The idea of signing a veteran "3 and D" player is to buy you some minutes wearing down the other teams' best player at the start of each half.

I think a nominal starting spot playing 18/20 minutes is the most reasonable role for Carroll.

Rotation I would like to see:

    Murray, White, DeRozan, Carroll, Aldridge

    Forbes, Walker, Bertans, Gay, Poeltl

Rotation Pop Will probably play (barring more moves):

    Murray, Forbes, DeRozan, Carroll, Aldridge

    White, Mills, Belinelli, Gay, Poeltl

Yes X 1 thousand. So much more appealing than 3 years of Aminu, or someone similar.
Great signing, when considering the alternatives.

You can't be in the Finals every year. This is a good bridge signing while the team develops its wealth of young talent and waits for 2021 when they'll have enough cap space for two max free agents.
