indeed. While there is still a chance he signs with the lakers, he would be pretty stupid to do so. In order for the lakers to make the playoffs with their current roster outlook, he'd have to play 40 minutes per game each game. That's simply outrageous for a player with his problems. Why would he put himself into such a situation when he can coast through the regular season with a stacked team and show up in the playoffs...
it's also slightly worse than it looks because teams are bound to adopt a maximum pace approach against the lakers.
