Apparently it's a heart rate monitor, with a built in GPS. Helps track distance covered, energy expenditure, etc.
Still pretty funny considering the gay rumors surrounding him though. Reminds me of that pic where it looked like Aaron Rodgers was wearing a thong when gay rumors about him surfaced.
