Do you have anything plugged into it? Like a flash drive? Or is there a CD/DVD in the tray?
I've a problem with my Laptop. My Windows 10 professional stopped updating a few days ago. I can no longer update. I tried all the automatic windows troubleshooting. I did the advanced options-unchecked the update other Microsoft products box as I was advised from the bulk of google searches. I restored to an earlier time. I restored to a back up. I still can't get Windows 10 to update. It updates to 5% then gives me update error 0x800705b4.
Please help!

Try disabling your anti-virus temporarily

This is a very useful tool you can download and use to install windows updates offline. Very user friendly interface and fairly straight forward.
Lets you choose to install updates manually or you can install them in bulk.
Please follow Windows Update troubleshooting tools.
Download and run the Windows Update Troubleshooter.

did you try turning it off and turning it back on?
throw it in the trash where it belongs. problem solved!
Try Restarting it again.
Bang the top of the PC with your hand a few times.
Have had a MacBook pro for 4 years. Still runs as good and smooth as the first day I fired it up.
my 2008 Windows laptop from Toshiba is... functional
Battery died a long time ago, if I don’t have an outlet anywhere near it, it turns off after 1 minute.
And I have enough time to shower and shave between firing it up and getting to the homescreen
I want to get a Macbook - not sure if I should fo for an Air or a Pro (although Pro seems to be more for YouTubers and Developers and I’m neither).
But that iPad Pro+keyboard cover+2nd gen pencil+iPad OS combo is interesting too.
i second this. got my macbook pro in spring 2014, still runs great
Dude created an account just to say that one thing? lol
I think there are probably better tech support forums on the interwebs than ST. Likely a bot.
