If the Spurs could have a do-over would you rather they change their draft pick to Jimmy Butler and he's a Spur for life or do the Kawhi thing all over again with the same situation playing out?
2 NBA Finals are at stake, 1 chip

Kawhi is better, but it's crazy to think the Spurs could've had both at one point, they chose Cory Joseph over Jimmy Buckets.

You must be talking about a different Jimmy Butler, and not the one who just went from Minny to Philly to Miami in one year.

You haven't gone backwards in time, you've gone sideways in sanity.

Jimmy Assler is a high volume shooting mercenary. He's better than Toby Harris, I guess

Butler didn't pan out that great, but his first years in Chicago were great. And he never had a Tim or a Manu to guide him.

We would probably have had the same results.

Considering that probably Kawhi in a different environment wouldn't have developed as well as he did in SA, I'd say Butler.
