CP3 was as an immovable contract as there has ever been in the history of the league and somehow Houston moved it. Westbrook has a horrible contract too but he is 4 years younger and should be less injury prone. Just getting rid of CP3 in and of itself is a miracle and a win.

D’antoni probably quits by the ASB. I say play Westbrook first and third quarters only. Harden second and fourth quarters only. Even though that would never happen, that might be the most effective way in order to get the most out of each guy.

Alphabrook deserves better than having to stand in the corner and watch Frauden dribble all game. SMH.

At least his biggest haters are going to have to root for him now.

A lot of those pick swaps won't apply barring severe injuries, and nearly all of the picks they traded for will be 1st rounders in the mid to upper 20s or 30. Calm down. This isn't the NFL; most of these NBA players picked in the 20s end up as role players for a few years and then out of the league.

The "own" picks will be high, but they already would have been without the trades.

I just picture D'Antoni and Morey being anxious as right now, while also saying all the rights things about feeling optimistic about next year. As far as basketball styles go, Houston's is now one of the ugliest in a long time.
Mike D didn't get a new contract so he's playing on house money right now.

Rockets are trying to sell tickets. They won't win .

And yes I know some on LG are the same to some degree (some still think we should have kept core over Bron/AD cuz they hate Bron and crew) ) but this Niccas were infamously bad check this...

    Loser: Rockets Fans
Chau: There might not have been a more rabid, vitriolic NBA fan base on the internet over the past two seasons than Rockets fans when it came to the matter of Westbrook. If one didn’t know any better, one could have easily seen the great Harden-Westbrook debate of 2017 as the battle for the soul of basketball. (The case for Harden ruining basketball came later.) Well, this is a fitting bit of comeuppance.

Harden and Westbrook are going to take turns playing iso ball. For all of Westbrick's chucking, Paul didn't shoot that much better last year. Difference is Paul didn't chuck like Westbrick is going to.

Harden is moving back to point guard. Russ will be what he should've been all along: a slashing 2.

    PG: Harden/Russ
    SG: Russ/Rivers
    SF: Gordon/House
    PF: Tucker/Clark
    C: Capela/???

I think the Rockets are going to deal for Kevin Love as well. They need a center who can shoot.
