Even if not a monopoly per se, they do have overarching market dominance. If we’re being honest, they’ve followed the Walmart model online. And this is why it’s not a monopoly, they do have strong compe ion from former monopolies moving into the online space.
That said, they definitely have a anti-compe ive behavior, and that is just as punishable if the government decided to pursue it. I suspect Europe will be leading the charge here, as has been the case in the past decade or so, with the US eventually following suit.
