Oh, so you missed Alcaraz following apart completely after Wimbledon? Like mentally destroyed himself because he couldn’t handle the pressure?

He’s a phenomenal talent but he said it himself:

If Novak stays out maybe Alacaraz wins more majors than Borg at an early age. Novax already lost that chance.
Im thinking Novak's knee injury was probably caused by not getting vaccinated.
Its fun turning the stupidity concerning Novax Noneedles, back on the Trumpheads.

Sinner choked, not sure why he can't get his act together on Grass. Meddy was never a great grass player. Alcaraz won't break Novak's record, long long way to go.

Sinner isnt on the level of Novak or Alcaraz,,,,we're gonna have to disagree about Alcaraz beating Novaks record,,,,hopefully I live long enough to see if he does,,,,lmao. This Alcaraz kid is the best tennis player ive seen at this early age in my life,,,,and ive seen a ton,,,,,Novak is the king but there is always someone coming along thats gonna be better. I loved Montana,,,,then came along Brady,,,,and now comes Mahomes,,,,.. Nobody could touch MJ and then came along LeBron,,,,,its the cycle of life in sports. I remember my dad being a huge Pete Sampras fan and when i saw Federer,,,,i told him the Roger was gonna be the greatest ever,,,,,to my dad's dying days, he always said Sampras was the best. Novak beat both our predictions,,,,,but heres comes Alcaraz,,,,im just busting your chops about Novak in this thread,,,Novaks the king until he is passed in les but I really do think Alcaraz is gonna do things no one else ever has,,,,this dude at 21 is something ive never seen before and i remember Boris Becker coming out of the gate hot like this,,,,

I also thought growing up that Sampras’s 14 grand slams wasn’t going to be broken for a long long time

Alcaraz is an amazing talent, and inarguably better at 21 than any other tennis player at that age. I just think that as amazing as Alcaraz is, for all we know there could be another 2-3 players who are like 14 right now but will be massive headaches for him in the coming years. I mean nobody in 2010 would have predicted Djokovic surpassing nadal and Federer.

It’s like when people say Haaland and mbappe will beat Messi/Ronaldo numbers. They had amazing start to their careers but longevity is a whole other animal.

I do think Alacaraz will finish as a worst case top 4 all time. And should he surpass 24 slams I’ll gladly tip my cap to him.

Also. Interesting you rate lebron over MJ

Hopefully Sundays match is a good one. I think Djokovic is arguably in slightly better form although Carlos had the much harder bracket. Last year’s Wimbledon was a classic

Joker just felt what it is like having a draw that was way too easy.
Just not prepared for the first two sets.
Novax just did not have the time to use his experience. Blown away too quickly to get a rhythm.

The difference in the speed of the players just did not have a chance to be countered by the experience.

Hard court is worse on them knees. Sinner plays much better on hard court as well. Meddy and Alcaraz are not going anywhere.

Sun may have officially set on Nole, tbh.

Alcaraz is something we've never seen before and we're all gonna be treated to his talent for many, many years hopefully. If he wins the US Open and hits 5 slam les at the age of 21,,,,,lookout,,,,I mean, this dude is unreal. This kid has all the pressure of the tennis world on his shoulders and just defended his Wimbleton le at the age of 21 and took out the GOAT two years in a row to do it and beat him in straight sets and Alcaraz didnt even play his best tennis in the tourney,,,,,he was behind in sets for a few of his matches,,,,,This dude is only gonna get better,,,,thats scary .

I would love to see Novak win one more Australian and call it a career,,,,,his Australian Open les will never be matched just like Nadals French Open les will never be beat,,,,,,I truly believe they are both unbeatable records like Wilts 100 point game in the NBA,,,,,we'll never see a player score 101 points in a game to beat it,,,

Injury worries will always be around. Imo Alcaraz is having fun using his extraordinary speed and shot making to the point where he has already hurt himself. The guy is very young and can do almost anything so I get it. He needs to lay off some of the over swinging and dangerously chasing down balls. But he is having a blast so it’s very hard to control the youthful vigor.

I don’t think he should worry about the numbers now and have his fun. But if he really wants to stay on top into his thirties he will need to be more careful now. It’s a very difficult thing to do when he is such a great athlete. Also he is not that tall so eventually he will really have to think about serving slower with placement to save his body.

It’s way far out to say anything definite about what he ends up doing imo because of the mental rigor of being on top so early and leaving some of the physicality for later. Because he will get injured again and how he handles this is very hard to predict. But he is good on all surfaces which is huge in trying to chase these records. Borg could not win on the hardcourts regularly and then of course had bad burnout. Alcaraz should probably look closely at Borg’s career and how it ended and why he was unable to make a comeback after he quit.

Its funny you mention that because I'm gonna throw a name out here now and you all might go,,,, , I remember that guy,,,,he was one of my favorite players and he only won 1 slam but that dude gave it his all and chased down every point and was in' incredible and entertaining to watch,,,,,Alcaraz reminds me of him but Alcaraz is this guy times 100,,,,his name is Michael Chang,,,,,If the injury bug doesnt get Alcaraz,,,,I think he's gonna do things we've never seen,,,,TBH.

Dont know much about Chang but Alcaraz is "athletic" in the useful characteristics required in Tennis. His hand eye coordination is very high level. His speed and timing are incredible. His anticipation will get even better over time. And he is now learning how to win on off days. Honestly he might just get bored if he gets too far out ahead. The discipline that is required to see out his ability is enormous. Mentally and physically. Im hoping some other guys like Sinner keep improving so Alcaraz does not get bored. And maybe some new unforseen stars that are teenagers now. These individual sports require so much of the individual. Very unlike team sports where you can help wiin for others competing with you. And even help whole cities become more positive and invested.

"I dont want to do this anymore."

Thats what would happen to most of us if we get to a situation where an endeavor becomes too easy.
In fact, personally, I would not want to be him.

Yeah, I think especially Rafa's FO record will be harder to break than 24 or 25 Grand slams in total.
