So, what's that illegal contact with Porzingas all about?
Isola doesn't know what the he is talking about, as evidence look at the 06 Finals comment. Frank most likely made up his sources for this story or talked to somebody who was very little info
Remember how Porker was bailed out by Nick Van Exel in 2006? Benched for the entire fourth quarter in the legendary game 7 while Manu and Timmy carried us to a come from behind victory after Porker went 0/11 FG with 0 points, 2 assists, and 8 turnovers in the first three quarters tbh? Got damn, those Finals were special. The second of our legendary threepeat.
it still hurts
Sounds like the Knicks, getting pissed at something that didn't happen.
Spurs tried to trade for Porzingins but Mavs get him?? I don't like this player that much but I find very depressing that Mavs beat us in a deal
At least it didn’t jeopardize any sort of three-peat opportunity during Duncan’s prime...sort of a meaningless play in Spurs’ history.
2 decades of irrelevancy, preserved in salt. poor billy crystal tbh
knicks 21st century 1st round draft history
1999: Frederick Weis (1999)
2000: Donnell Harvey (No. 22)
2002: Nene (No. 7)
2003: Michael Sweetney (No. 9)
2005: Channing Frye (No. 8), David Lee (No. 30)
2006: Renaldo Balkman (No. 20), Mardy Collins (No. 29)
2007: Wilson Chandler (No. 23)
2008: Danilo Gallinari (No. 6)
2009: Jordan Hill (No. 8)
2011: Iman Shumpert (No. 17)
2013: Tim Hardaway Jr. (No. 24)
2015: Kristaps Porzingis (No. 4)
2017: Frank Ntilikina (No. 8)
2018: Kevin Knox (No. 9)
This is just speculation, but the Spurs ALWAYS do their due diligence on players. They passed on that coke head Nassir Little for just that reason. They probably had no interest in Porzingis, but knew he was all rapey, and maybe shared that intel with a team, or teams, lowering offers for The Unicorn Rapist.
The three white guys they drafted are their best picks.
This isn't that ty, to be honest. Not clear why 1) they continue to draft later than their records deserve, and 2) why they never keep the better players they get. Nene, Frye, Lee, Chandler, Gallinari, Shumpert, Porzingis are all good picks. I'm guessing they trade them off for failed assets and that's why they didn't have picks in 2004, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016.
What's the bigger joke... the article or the Knicks??
Alternative facts.
circa 2006
Back on planet Earth . . .
2004, 2006, and 2013 were probably the most the most disappointing endings to seasons.
And what happened the next year each time?
The Knicks won that year.
And all this time i thought Wade and his refs robbed Dirk in the 2006 Finals. But it was actually Spurs vs Stephon Marbury and his Knicks .
it still hurts
Paul George was a beast in that 2006 Finals. I'll never forget that two hand jam he threw down on Ewing in Game 5 to send him into retirement. Spurs should have never traded that guy.
How the do you get the wrong year for an NBA Finals? What a dumbass.
So the classy and by the book spurs colluded? I thought they were above that. Disgraceful behavior, league's office should definitely look into that and take appropriate action against the spurs tbh.
As for the Morris situation, it couldn't have happened to a bigger head than Poop. That's what he gets for constantly sticking his nose in other organisation's business
