Show was great. I liked the comics too, read them 4-5 years ago.

The show is way better. Homelander is ing amazing. The comics are edgy, and so is the show (to a lesser extent), but I would take actual characterization over the two-dimensional bull that Ennis did. Turning A-Train Black and The Deep White was a brilliant idea.
The biggest thing that annoys me is Karl Urban's hair dye. I know, in a show with fake blondes, that this is a ridiculous complaint, but did Karl Urban really have to have jet black hair?
Yeah the dude that plays Homelander is really, really good. I've never seen or heard of Antony Starr before. He absolutely nailed this character.
He's the best part of the show. Karl Urban, Billy Zane, Simon Pegg (funny casting nod), Haley Joel Osment, Elisabeth Shue, etc., don't even compare. I never heard of this guy either, but he did a great job.
Yeah I thought Pegg was odd too for such a minimal role so for kicks I looked it up.

Pretty cool
Did anyone have a brief moment of confusion thinking, "is that Dave Chappelle?"
No, I remember that guy from the first season of It's Always Sunny, and Chappelle is in way better shape.
Saw the first epi. Reminds me a bit of the Steelheart novels, but the R rated version.
5 episodes in. Show is starting to get really twisted.
Still really good though, tbh.
Damn I feel bad for Butcher.
So turns out that one of the creators of the comic has an older sister that lives four or five houses down from me....next time he’s in town she’s assured me we can go out for beers and I can pick his brain....when it gets closer I will happily ask him anything you guys want me to ask.
Cool. Does he have any show input or is he all comic book
that scene made me appreciate homelander even more, he saved him just to with him.
I think all comic....but I really don’t know....he wrote and illustrated “Happy” as well....sounds like a pretty successful dude.
'This show is amazing. Great casting too, especially Butcher and Homelander. Just finished it. They're already shooting season 2.
The Vanilla world we live in today.
Netflix was also made to remove a scene from their 13 Reasons Why show. Haven't seen it myself but read an article about it.
Homelander is phenomenal. Best Comic book tv show character I can think of.
He could laser every ing one of the other characters, and I would consider that a happy ending.
I have no problem if he laser blasted Queen Maeve. I have no use for her character or her mediocre "super power".
Even Pop Claw has super strength when juiced
Finally got around to watching this.
Pretty god damn good if I do say so. Will be interesting to see where they take season 2 tbh
