This is reasonable and speaks to the same fears I've had of the more radical left's focus on iden y above all else, and this politically correct climate has been sent into overdrive by social media. He's more than correct that we need to resist the urge toward tribalism and continue to unify through what he called "a more elevated form of cooperation." That said, there's still two sides to the issue and we can't be so naïve to think that systemic racism against minorities still doesn't exist. There's indeed many "virtue signalers" on the left who are just bandwagoning, but their existence doesn't mean that minorities still don't experience real racism. The civil rights era happened just a mere 60 years ago. You don't eliminate a deeply ingrained cultural mentality that quickly. It'll take generations.
