Democratic Challenger Andy Beshear Upsets Republican Matt Bevin in Kentucky Gubernatorial Race

Big story here was turnout and the total swing from 2016.
Message to a certain Senator from Moscow... "you're next"
They will probably roll back some of the dumbest and more fascist things that the GOP did while they had control of the state government. Just a guess.
The centrist Dem thing to do is as little as possible, cowering in fear of the inevitable cries of "socialism" from the GOP.
That is indeed the normal thing to do. The party will have to face though, a surging progessive wing that does not give a about that particular cliched charge anymore. Trump's administration's radical policy positions and actions have allowed room for the left to pull.
We may actually have a discussion about things, because the Republican party has so overused the charge that is has lost its power. How much conservatives are, or are not, losing the narrative war, remains to be seen. It will be interesting to find out.
iow, no progress, as the BigDollar corporatists Dems are not in any way progressive.
Multi-millionaire establishment Pelosi sniffs at The Squad as "what? just five? on twitter"?
And NY Schumer is totally owned by BigFinance.
And much of the rest of the 200+ Dems are the same.
Both parties are more retrograde, more conservative than their voters.

High Turnout of Smart Voters in Kentucky Terrifies Rand Paul
WASHINGTON —Surprisingly high turnout among smart voters in Kentucky on Tuesday has left Senator Rand Paul “terrified and shattered,” one of Paul’s aides has revealed.
As the election returns came in Tuesday night, it became clear that
intelligent voters, who had never played a prominent role in any of Senator Paul’s electoral contests,
were making their feelings known in unprecedented numbers.
“What we were seeing was huge participation by voters who apparently both consume and comprehend verifiable facts,”
the senator’s aide said.
“As far as Rand Paul is concerned, this is the doomsday scenario.”
As the night wore on, the aide said, Paul stared at the Kentucky election returns on TV in a near-catatonic state, finally moaning,
“Where are all of these smart people coming from, damn it?”
The aide cautioned that it remains to be seen whether the heavy turnout of sentient Kentucky voters is a one-off fluke, but,
if it turns out to be a lasting trend,
“Rand Paul is going to have to find a dumber state.”

I used like Rand Paul. He's become another Trump boot licker amd and a Zionist shill. He is NOTHING like his father Ron Paul.
They are both idiots.

Senate president: Kentucky governor's race could be decided by state legislature
Kentucky Senate President Robert Stivers threw another wrench into the state's razor-thin gubernatorial outcome late Tuesday night, saying that the legislature could decide the race.
Stivers' comments came shortly after Gov. Matt Bevin refused to concede to Attorney General Andy
Beshear, who led by roughly 5,100 votes when all the precincts were counted.
“There’s less than one-half of 1%, as I understand, separating the governor and the attorney general,” Stivers said.
“We will follow the letter of the law
and what various processes determine.”
Stivers, R-Manchester, said based on his staff’s research, the decision could come before the Republican-controlled state legislature.
Under state law, Bevin has 30 days to formally contest the outcome once it is certified by the State Board of Elections.
Candidates typically ask for a re-canvass of voting machines and a recount first.
The last contested governor's race was the 1899 election of Democrat William Goebel

CNN Puffs Up Mayor Pete w/ Obama Comparison Segment
neither one is Jewish, so what's your problem?
Matt Bevin becomes the latest red state Republican to find out you don't mess with teachers
He insulted them,
he went after their pensions,
he blamed their activism for the death of a child, and,
as he was losing on election night, a tweet saying
“Hey @MattBevin, we finally found something you can accurately blame the teachers for” went semi-viral.
“The teachers’ movement has energized Democrats in red states,
with record numbers of educators running for office.
But it may have had an even greater impact on Republican politics.
In primaries, it has picked off Republican legislators who opposed funding for teachers and schools.
And it has convinced conservative leaders that
voters, particularly suburban parents,
are looking for full-throated support, and open pocketbooks, for public education.”

Both are fake progressives. Both are corporatists. That's my problem.
Oh, they're both Zionists too
well, they both suck so... good comparison.
BIG WIN For Ranked Choice Voting & State Dems!
10 candidates qualified for november debate
they need to trim the fat a lot quicker than they're doing
agreed. I think the first few primaries will do that. Once the candidate is finalized, I would expect a tidal wave of actual donations from grassroots. Once it crystallizes, I expect a massive effort to spring up virtually overnight.
Before then though, having a field of candidates to choose from steals oxygen from Golfy-McDumb's tweet s, not a bad thing, IMO.
Yeah, this is ridiculous. Should've been 5% all along. No need to keep the life support on.
Dunno. Scale it up over time, let's dark horses that might not ordinarily be considered do their thing.
Maybe. I'm just tired of seeing the same clown car lineup.
